Troubleshooting

1. CakeBoss 2007 Original Version Problem: I get the message 'CakeBoss cannot be started' when I try to run CakeBoss.

Solution: It's likely that you have picked up a virus which corrupted your install cache.  It is very easy to fix.  Go to your computer's C drive:   c:\Documents and Settings\UserName(Sometimes called "Owner")\Local Settings\Apps   Inside the 'Apps' folder is a folder named '2.0'.  Drag this folder and all its contents to your recycle bin. *Important - sometimes the 2.0 is a 'hidden' file folder, so make sure you have the option for viewing hidden files and folders checked.  The 2.0 folder must be deleted before you reinstall.

If you cannot find the '2.0' folder in the path listed, go to your 'Start' menu, then 'Search'.  Search for 'file or folder' named 2.0, and make sure to check the advanced options to search in hidden files and folders.
Reinstall CakeBoss from www.cakeboss.com/install/publish.htm. This will not affect any of your stored CakeBoss data.
