get a SQL error.
Solution:
Fortunately, this is very easy to fix, and your data is not gone!
Close CakeBoss, then go to:
Start menu ->
All Programs ->
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 ->
Configuration Tools ->
SQL Server Surface Area Configuration
Then click 'Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections'
You will notice that your Service Status says 'Stopped'. All you need to do

4. Problem:
I get the message 'CakeBoss cannot be started' when I try to run CakeBoss.
Solution: It's likely that you have picked up a virus which corrupted your install
cache. It is very easy to fix.
Go to your computer's C drive:
c:\Documents and Settings\UserName(Sometimes called "Owner")\Local Settings\Apps
Inside the 'Apps' folder is a folder named '2.0'. Drag this folder and all
its contents to your recycle bin. *Important
- sometimes the 2.0 is a 'hidden' file folder, so make sure you have the
option for viewing hidden files and folders checked.
The 2.0 folder must be deleted before you reinstall.
If you cannot find the '2.0' folder in the path listed,
go to your 'Start' menu, then 'Search'. Search for 'file or folder' named
2.0, and make sure to check the advanced options to search in hidden files and folders.
Reinstall CakeBoss from
www.cakeboss.com/publish.htm. This will not affect any of your stored CakeBoss data.
